INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

Get in the Game is

designed to complement the role of a parent,

not to challenge it.

I'M THE PARENT, why would I allow others to help educate my teenager?

• Being a parent is busy work and while you want to pave a smooth future for your teen, you also want to focus on 'the now'. Let this program assist your teen with planning and visualizing their future so you can enjoy the now with them!

• Your teen's achievements through this program will prompt family conversations to include you as they dream and plan. It will also help them understand why you might have certain expectations and justifications about their plans as they enter adulthood.

• Schools have limitations on what they can teach and many of their 'life skills' related curriculum is minimal. They tend to teach 'in theory' situations. Get in the Game offers personalized, interactive, realistic, applicable, hands-on projects that involve friends, family and community.

• The program will only complement what you already teach them before they're adults; it won't challenge you and it shouldn't contradict you.

• There are many problems parents can't predict until after something goes wrong; especially when their teen turns 18 and leaves the nest. Get in the Game was created from a tapestry of wisdom.

• Sometimes, and for whatever reason (probably hormonal) when a teenager hears an idea, a rule or a life regulation from someone other than their parent they are less inclined to automatically resist it. Here, the members get the chance to really 'hear' the message and then when their parent reiterates it, it will have already sunk in as ideas they may be open toward.

•  Even the best parent in the world can't be an expert on everything - you wear so many hats as it is! We warmly invite you to let the Get in the Game program help you organize and activate your teenager's life goals and dreams.
